Some of our members decided to take a trip “Up North” last month as if it wasn’t cold enough here in the twin cities. We headed up to the North Shore of Lake Superior and settled-in at Grand Marais Minnesota for a 4 day photo shoot. The harbor in Grand Marais offers wonderful sunrises over Superior year round. Our group was lucky enough to catch good light on two of the three mornings we went out to shoot. Below are some examples of the harbor shots I got from the first morning.
We all have number of different harbor shots taken in -7 degree weather with a -17 below windchill. You can almost feel the cod from the reflections off of the ice. We’ll post more images of the harbor sunrises, and the area in general, as we finish sorting and working on our final images.
