The international pond hockey championships were held on Lake Nokomis January 18-20, 2013. Two of us went out to photograph a portion of the event. As expected the day was bitterly cold.
 
 
 

 
Despite the temperature at 4 degrees before wind chill, the action was hot as teams competed for the overall trophy known as the “golden Shovel”. Below are some shots from the event:
