One of the unique features of this farm is that there is a lot of old equipment and cars laying about the property. It was quite a lot of fun to poke about looking for “treasures” and trying to capture some images that showed off his hidden treasures in an artistic way.
I captured a number of images using both a regular digital camera and one converted to take infrared pictures. I think I liked the way the infrared images turned out better than the standard ones.
I have been experimenting with a few new techniques. For the color photos I would convert to B&W using Silver Efex II and then paint some color back into the picture. For the infrared images I would use HDR processing that tended to put some false color into image and then worked with Silver Efex II to gain the end result that I liked.

Great effect leaving a touch of color. The infrared helps emphasize the contrast in tone and subject.
