Last month Forrest Pearson traveled about 5 hours North to shoot with Peter Wong in and around Bayfield Wisconsin.  That area includes the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior.  This is a great recreation area year round, but particularly inviting in the warm summers months, and the fall when the leaves change and the city holds its annual  apple festival.

Given the time of year they assumed there would be an opportunity to get a lot of snow-related shots. But we have had such a warm-dry winter there hardly was any snow.  They did get a dusting toward the end of the trip, but still came away with some wonderful images.  Below are some of the highlights from Forrest:
