This image was taken at Two Steps Falls in Tettegouche State Park on the North Shore of Lake Superior. I was attracted by the rough texture of the roots covering the rocks. The roots, rocks, waterfalls and the hint of fall combine to create a sense of the natural beauty of the North Shore. This image was created from a composite of four images taken at different exposures. Together, they capture the range of light from the dark shadows under the tree to the sunlit waterfalls. I was fortunate to be there at a time when there were no other people around and so I spent a very pleasant hour setting up and capturing this image.
