This image is part of a portfolio of images taken around Lake Superior. The marina is on the southern shore in Bayfield, Wisconsin. For a few moments, the spring morning sunlight produced a palette of pastel colors. The image is a painterly composite of five images taken at different exposures to produce a high dynamic range of colors. The moment was very calm and the rapidly changing light was magical as the sun rose to my left.
