Photography has been a passion for me since I was a kid when paging through a National Geographic magazine that my mom had bought for me. In 1969 I left the country of my birth, Malaysia, and moved to Minnesota to further my education at the University of Minnesota and the College of St. Scholastica. Receiving my Bachelor’s degree in 1974, I moved to Minneapolis and spent time gathering knowledge and experience on all aspects of photography – from working at a photography lab to working as a “gopher” for prominent photographers. My career as a commercial photographer started in 1980. Some of my clients were local and national advertising agencies and Fortune 500 corporations.
After years of working in a photography studio, I moved my focus outdoors and my passion for photography was renewed. I began capturing golfscapes and landscapes that interest, fascinate and simply awe me. I am always keeping the imageries of great photographers like Jim Brandenberg and others in the back of my mind, emulating them when the situation arose, it has also made me to become a better photographer. I hope that you enjoy this show of images from myself and my colleagues of photographers.
